Unlike in 2023, when a temporary video board suspended from cranes made headlines , Vanderbilt football will have a new, permanent video board and sound system for the 2024 season, a release confirmed.

The new video board is mounted atop the north end zone facility at FirstBank Stadium that was constructed to house new basketball practice facilities. There is no video board currently in the south end zone, with instead a small scoreboard with the score, time, quarter and down/distance there.

Vanderbilt began construction on the stadium in January 2023. It was expected to be a multi-year project, and construction is nearing completion in the north end zone, where new visiting team locker rooms and premium seating will be ready for the 2024 season. Construction on the south end zone is still ongoing.

How fans can enter FirstBank Stadium in 2024

Fans will be able to access the stadium from either the north or south sides, according to the release. On the north side, Gates 1 and 4 will be open for entry. On the south side, fans can enter through Memorial Gymnasium or via the corner of Natchez Trace and Jess Neely Drive.

    New concession offerings

New concessions vendors for the 2024 season include 5 Points Pizza, Mission BBQ and a concession stand that is cantina-style, the release said. The north end zone will have a market that will offer food and drinks.
