More than 100 Tennessee businesses ranked among the fastest-growing private companies in the United States, according to Inc. Magazine. Of those, 84 are located in the Nashville metro area.

The publication annually releases its Inc. 5000 list, ranking the top privately-owned American companies according to their percentage revenue growth over the last three years.

Among the 132 fastest-growing private companies in Tennessee, the median growth was 182%. In total, the businesses have added 15,267 jobs to the state's economy in the last three years, according to Inc.

Notably, only three Tennessee companies landed in the top 300 and they are all categorized in the health services industry.

Entrepreneurs apply for the list annually, pay a $495 processing fee, go through a revenue verification process and undergo a vetting process that may disqualify candidates with "allegations of fraud, sexual misconduct, or unlawful activity," according to Inc. Special Projects Editor Eric Hagerman .

Here are the top 10 Tennessee companies that made the list:

    No. 3: Monogram Health

Founded in 2019, Brentwood-based home health care company Monogram Health took the top spot as the fastest-growing company in Tennessee.

"The innovative team at Monogram is relentlessly dedicated to tearing down systemic barriers to accessing care and advancing value-based care that is rooted in clinical research," Frist said in a statement. "Their consistent and organic growth, their quality outcomes, and the value they are driving via cost of care savings are showing the industry what the future looks like.”
