Five Tennessee schools make Princeton Review's best colleges list

The Princeton Review released its list of top colleges for 2025, and five Tennessee schools made the cut.

The private company, which is not affiliated with Princeton University, offers education services like test preparation, admissions support and popular college rankings. Its latest rankings, released Tuesday, were accompanied by several categorical lists and a book entitled "The Best 390 Colleges."

"The colleges we profile in our book are truly a select group: they constitute about 15% of America's four-year institutions," Rob Franek, who authored the book and works as editor-in-chief for The Princeton Review, said in a news release. "We chose them primarily based on our high opinion of their academic offerings."

A total of 168,000 students across the 390 schools completed an 89-question survey that covered academics, administration, campus life, their fellow students and their personal experiences.
