Singer-songwriter and musician Amanda Shires has announced a one-night-only concert and story-telling show in Nashville.

The songstress will take the stage for “Off the Record – Unplugged & Untamed” on Thursday, Oct. 10 at the Exit/In.

Shires will hit the stage solo without a band and is planning to tell her fans confessional stories about the meanings behind her songs. She will perform songs she never has sung live before, in addition to her classics.

The show will feature Shires' painting and visual artwork as a backdrop, and Shires also plans to create one-of-a-kind posters for fans to purchase at the show as well.

"The night is about breaking free, going off script, and sharing music that’s as untamed as the life behind it," Shires said in a press release.

"It happened that the show landed on October 10, after some waffling on my part," Shires continued. "A notification came on my iCal once it was confirmed and I thought, ‘well I’ll be damned, that’s Handsome Johnny’s (John Prine) birthday, looks like I’m going to have to go through with it.’ Everything’s a sign…if you want it to be.”

On Instagram , Shires said, "I’ve planned what I think will be a good first date, and it’s with all y’all."

Shires added that she will see what her fans think about a couple songs she's on the fence about at the Nashville concert, and that if fans buy a ticket to the show, they can request a song in her comments.

Shires, who has played fiddle since she was 15, is best known as a founder of The Highwomen, a country power group with Natalie Hemby, Maren Morris and Brandi Carlile.

They released hits "Highwomen," "Redesigning Women," and "Crowded Table" — a song that won a Grammy Award in 2021.

Shires released her most recent album "Take It Like A Man" in 2022.

Doors for the show will open at 7 p.m. and the show will begin at 8 p.m.
