Once again, Country Music Hall of Famer Reba McEntire will star in a sitcom featuring her multi-platinum-selling song stylings in the theme song.

The "Fancy" vocalist has teamed up with Rock and Roll and Songwriting Hall of Famer Carole King for the theme song for her upcoming new NBC comedy, "Happy's Place," which is set to premiere on Oct. 18 at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT. "Happy's Place" will stream on Peacock the next day.

"I'm so happy for the opportunity to write the theme song for 'Happy's Place' with my good friend, Carole King," said McEntire. "It just doesn't get much better than that! I hope my fans will love this song as much as they did the theme song for the 'Reba' show."

"Happy's Place" stars McEntire as Bobbie, a woman who inherits her father's tavern (Happy's Place) and is surprised to discover that her business partner, Isabella (played by Belissa Escobedo), is a twentysomething half-sister she never knew she had. The series also stars Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk and Rex Linn.

    Reba McEntire's 'I'm A Surivor' 's enduring legacy, more

From 2001-2007, McEntire appeared on the "Reba" program on the WB and CW networks. She sang "I'm a Survivor," a track from her 2001 "Greatest Hits: Vol. 3" compilation as the program's theme song.

In 2021, the song's enduring popularity spawned a viral "I'm a Survivor" challenge on TikTok, which showed McEntire's fans performing menial household tasks set to the "Reba" theme: "A single mom who works two jobs. Who loves her kids and never stops. With gentle hands and heart of a fighter. I'm a survivor."

In her own take, McEntire works hard on her farm, bringing pales of food to her two donkeys. As the video ends, the country singer turns to the camera and lip-syncs, "I'm a survivor."

2025 will find McEntire not slowing down. The Country Music Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry member is still headlining arena tours, hosting the Academy of Country Music Awards, charting Top 10 country radio singles, and releasing compilations, EPs and studio albums. This includes appearing on Broadway, as a coach on "The Voice" and "America's Got Talent," opening a restaurant and releasing a cookbook.

"There's always a lot of attention on me," McEntire jokes while conversing with The Tennessean .
