Wilson was on hand in Dallas to make the announcement during Fox's coverage of the Cowboys playing the Detroit Lions on Sunday afternoon. The "Country's Cool Again" singer and a special guest's appearance will kick off the Salvation Army's nearly 125-year-old "Red Kettle Campaign" to raise money to provide children toys, coats for people experiencing homelessness, food for the hungry and numerous other social service programs.

"It's gonna be a party," exclaimed the Grammy winner to Fox NFL correspondent Erin Andrews.

"Ain't nobody gonna top Dolly Parton," she continued when questioned if she could match the Country Music and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer's estimated 44 million households that viewed her 2023 performance alongside the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders at 2023's Thanksgiving Day game.

On Nov. 23, 2023, the Dallas Cowboys played on Thanksgiving against the Washington Commanders. But the critical part was the halftime show .

At Dallas' AT&T Stadium, singer-songwriter Parton was the headlining act while clad in a custom version of the franchise's cheerleader's iconic uniform.

Overall, in the same week, Parton celebrated the release of her album "Rockstar," sang "Rocky Top" at the University of Tennessee's Neyland Stadium and "We Are the Champions" during the Thanksgiving Day game , her album of rock covers debuted at No. 1 on six different Billboard charts.

    Lainey Wilson, of late

Wilson's appearance at AT&T Stadium will follow her joining a fellow Entertainer of the Year, Luke Bryan, and 2021 NFL Hall of Fame inductee Peyton Manning to host 2024's 58th annual CMA Awards live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Nov. 20 from 8 – 11 p.m. EST) on ABC and the next day on Hulu.

The event will mark Bryan's fourth time hosting, Manning's third and Wilson's first.

Wilson, the breakout winner at 2023's CMA Awards, follows up last year's success as 2024's most nominated female artist with four bids, including her second nomination for Entertainer of the Year, third for Female Vocalist, a Single of the Year nod for "Watermelon Moonshine" and a Music Video of the Year nod for the Patrick Tracy-directed video for "Wildflowers and Wild Horses."
