( This story has been updated with new information ).

There will be some major changes to the polls ahead of Week 9 after the two major SEC matchups on Saturday.

The conference saw two top-10 games this week, including one in the top five. No. 7 Alabama suffered its second loss in three weeks to No. 10 Tennessee. Following the 24-17 defeat, the Crimson Tide is sure to drop in the latest rankings and took a hit to its College Football Playoff chances , whereas Tennessee strengthened its position to challenge for the SEC championship game.

But the title of top dawg in the SEC once again belongs to a familiar team in Georgia, which went on the road and beat No. 1 Texas 30-15 despite some third-quarter controversy. Running back Trevor Etienne and the defense led the way in the victory, scoring three touchdowns and forcing four turnovers, respectively, against the Longhorns.

Missouri should also be among the SEC teams staying within the top 25, as the Tigers came back from a 17-6 deficit against Auburn to win 21-17 after quarterback Brady Cook returned in the second half after exiting the game with an injury in the first quarter.

LSU and Texas A&M also scored victories in Week 8 against Arkansas and Mississippi State, respectively. Here's where SEC teams landed in the updated US LBM Coaches and AP Top 25 polls for Week 9:
