    Works from 25 artists to be featured in 'CLIMATE' exhibition at Ashland University

    The opening exhibition of the 2024-25 academic year at Ashland University’s Coburn Gallery will be “CLIMATE,” a regional juried exhibition featuring 25 Ohio-based artists.

    An opening reception will be held 4:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29. The exhibition will run through Sept. 28. It is free and open to the public.

    “CLIMATE” explores notions about the landscapes in their region and the human influence within the environments. The exhibition was curated by Cynthia Petry, director of the Coburn Gallery and assistant professor of art.

    The exhibition features: Clare Murray Adams, Doug Becht, April Bleakney, Karen Albanese Campbell, Susan Danko, Jihae Dick, Aaron Ellison, Sophia Hoersten, Michael Hornyak, Jackie Jeromin, Joyce Morrow Jones, Jordan Lee, Marty Bossler Lee, Selena Loomis, Irv Oslin, Natalie Petrosky, Robin Roberts, Andre Rubin, Jennifer Sowders, Mary Beth Stauffer, Christopher Triner, Jessica Wascak, Heidi Weller, Grace Worley and Eric Zeigler.

    The Coburn Gallery is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays and noon-4 p.m. on weekends during the academic year. There is no admission fee. For more information, visit ashland.edu/coburn-gallery or contact Petry at cpetry@ashland.edu or 419-289-5652.
