    Moped driver hospitalized after Thursday morning crash in Port Huron

    The Port Huron Police Department is investigating a crash that has left one person hospitalized.

    Police received a call at 6:36 a.m. that a vehicle had hit a moped near the intersection of 10th Avenue and McPherson Street. The Port Huron Fire Department and Tri-Hospital EMS also responded to the scene.

    The moped driver, a 27-year-old Port Huron resident, was severely injured in the crash and transported to McLaren Port Huron before being transported to McLaren Macomb hospital.

    The Port Huron Police Accident Investigators were called in to assist with the investigation of the crash. The news release stated that investigation is ongoing.
