    Tuscarawas County Sheriff's Office: Shot fired during attempted robbery in York Township

    YORK TOWNSHIP ‒ The Tuscarawas County Sheriff's Office is investigating a report of an attempted robbery during which which a shot was fired around midnight Saturday in York Township.

    A resident of Baker Road SW reported a vehicle showed up at his residence around midnight. He waited about 10 minutes before approaching the vehicle at the bottom of his driveway. He told deputies that a man got out of the vehicle and put a gun to his head, demanding his property.

    The resident said he was able to push the man before a shot was fired. No one was injured.

    Deputies found a shell casing, which was collected as evidence.
