CHAMPAIGN, Illinois — Kansas football dropped out of the top 25 of the US LBM Coaches Poll for week three after a week two loss, 23-17, against Illinois.

The Jayhawks (1-1) had entered this past weekend as the No. 20 team in the poll. They’re one of a few teams to fall out of the poll this week. And now they’ll look ahead to a game Friday against UNLV.

Kansas isn’t unfamiliar to UNLV. The Jayhawks and Rebels matched up last year in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl. Kansas won that game 49-36.

After loss, Kansas football coach Lance Leipold says it’s time ‘to see what we’re made of’
