The title is a bit misleading. There are 4 Level 1 trauma centers for Adults in the Arkansas Trauma System (UAMS, Regional 1 in Memphis, Cox Health, and Mercy Health in Springfield) plus 2 Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Centers (ACH Little Rock and LeBonheur in Memphis), plus 4 Level 2 centers in Little Rock, Hot Springs and Fayetteville and multiple Level 3 and 4 centers state wide. The article umplies that there is and has been only 1 place for trauma treatment, which is simply not the case.
