Taking Flight - A Vertical Dance Camp in the Redwoods.

Lauren Godla, with DiRT & Glitter Art, wants to let the community know about a free opportunity for local youth ages 14 - 24 taking place this summer, July 22-26th in the redwoods.

Lauren recently started an Environmental Art nonprofit, the aforementioned, Dirt & Glitter, and they received funding from the Klamath Promise Neighborhood to put on a Summer Vertical Dance Camp in a beautiful redwood grove within Smith River National Recreation Area.

She will be teaching with 2 other professional vertical dancers, a youth counselor from the Yurok Tribe, and some amazing local environmental and cultural presenters. There is space for 6 more dancers in the camp, so please spread the word. The camp will take place 9am-3pm Monday - Friday (July 22-26th) and participants must be able to commit to the entirety of the camp as there will be a showing at the end of the week!
