    Hope for Heroes workshop set for June 11

    The Council of Substance Abuse will present a Military Members and Families Information and Benefits Workshop from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. June 11 at South Alabama Electric Co-Op on Highway 231 south of Troy.

    Randy Ross, Pike County Veterans Affairs Officer, said the workshop topics will include Enrolling in VA services, Identifying Priority Groups, Determining the Difference between a Veteran and Humanitarian and Understanding the PACT and Cleland Dole (WWII) Acts.

    Ross said a one-on-one question and answer opportunity will be available so it is important to bring your DD214, Certificate of Reference and ID to the workshop.
