Alabama football 's Kadyn Proctor did not play in Saturday's game vs. Western Kentucky, and his condition will continue to be evaluated tomorrow and through the week, coach Kalen DeBoer said following Alabama's 63-0 win over the Hilltoppers .

Proctor was seen during warmups but left the field shortly after with a trainer. He returned to the field in street clothes with what looked like his left arm in a sling and did not enter the game. DeBoer did not disclose details as to what caused Proctor to miss the game.

"It just caught me by surprise obviously," DeBoer said. "He couldn't go tonight. We'll continue to evaluate tomorrow and see how the week goes on, just to see the severity of it."

Proctor played every game at left tackle for Alabama during his true freshman season last year. He transferred to Iowa following Nick Saban's retirement but rejoined the Crimson Tide and DeBoer following spring practice.

Miles McVay was listed as Proctor's backup on the Alabama depth chart released prior to kickoff, but it was Elijah Pritchett who got the nod to start at the left tackle spot. Pritchett had been competing for a spot at right tackle with Wilkin Formby, a battle expected to last throughout the season. Formby started at right tackle on Saturday night.
