Located 90 minutes south of Nashville and an hour drive from Hunstville, the retreat community pays homage to the legacy of the town of Lynchburg and the local distillery.

A mile from the historic town square, Whiskey Creek is situated among the state's rolling foothills and in close proximity to Tim's Ford Lake.

Staying on theme, the Whiskey Creek community office is also located on the town square, about a mile from the Jack Daniels distillery.

Amenities include a private event space, creekside fire pits, an outdoor stage, community pavilion and on site property management and hospitality, according to the website.

"Think smaller & live bigger" is the slogan behind Whiskey Creek's tiny home company, Retreat by Oakstone.

Started by land developer Chip Hayes, the company broke ground on its first tiny home community in 2018 and has continued to open retreat communities since.

With three sold out communities behind it, the Retreat by Oakstone has plans to expand nationally and provides options for brief vacation stays, rentals and buys.

    PROPERTY FOR PURCHASE

A lot within the community is currently available at 975 Main Street Lot 44.

The residential space is listed on the market for $95,000.

"If you're ready to find a lot, pull the trigger" encourages Whiskey Creek's listing.

Interested customers should first fill out a simple form that asks for a phone number, first and last name and an email.

Those interested can also call: (615) 208-3110 for more information to inquire about the land.

On the market for nearly four months, the listing boasts that the surrounding community "always has something going on" from craft, music, BBQ festivals and more.

Less than a quarter of an acre, the property is sitting on a lot that's a third of an acre and has a rolling slope.

Those interested in the space should make note of the $125 monthly association fee that includes grounds maintenance.

For interested families, the listing is in proximity to both Lynchburg Elementary and Moore County High School.

Located on a gravel road, the road frontage is closed off, giving potential buyers privacy and seclusion, while still providing proximity to town.

At ;east 56 properties are currently available for rent on the Retreat by Oakstone website.

Valentine's Day discounts are available through February 29 for 20% off of customers' stays.

Some people who like living in secluded areas prefer to buy their own tiny homes, like this one from Amazon that is less than $3,000.

The U.S. Sun shared a story about a neighborhood in Utah that is trying to serve as a community for people coming out of chronic homelessness.
