On Wednesday, the show’s official Instagram account shared a clip from a past episode that became famous after host Drew Carey was forced to kick the Flip or Flop machine.

The throwback video begins with Drew, 66, explaining the game’s rules to a contestant on the brink of victory.

“You can flip the first two numbers… or you can flop the last two numbers,” Drew told her.

“Or you can flip and flop,” he added. “Flip flop or flip flop. Good luck!”

After the contestant locked in her guess at $9,782, she tried pressing the buzzer to reveal whether her price was right.

The reveal was ultimately anti-climactic, as Drew and the contestant realized the button was broken.

At one point, the American comedian, who has hosted The Price is Right since 2007, even kicked the machine – leaving fans at home in splits.

Reacting to the Instagram video, one user commented, “Not Drew kicking it! [laughing emoji]”

Another said there was “nothing like attending” a live taping of The Price is Right, the longest running game show on American TV.

“It looks like the game machine almost had a flop [laughing emoji],” a third comment read.

A fourth person praised Drew’s “comical timing,” while a fifth fan said he had “become such a fit at hosting” the show.

Finally, Drew was able to press the button, and the studio erupted in cheers as it was revealed that the contestant had accurately guessed the price of the object.

“At least it worked out in the end,” the caption of the Instagram video read.

Earlier this week, fans urged the show’s producers to remove one of its most popular games ahead of the upcoming season.

The Price is Right first came on TV in 1972. Fans fell in love with the game show so much that it has been on for over 50 years. Throughout that time, the show has had a few different hosts. Find out who they are below.

Bob Barker – 1972 to June 2007 (also became executive producer in 1988)

Drew Carey – October 2007 to present

Dennis James – filled in for Bob in 1974 when he missed four episodes, also hosted the nighttime version

Craig Ferguson – 2014 April Fools Day Special

On Monday, The Price is Right shared a clip demonstrating how the game Lucky Seven is played, as contestants tried to guess the seven-figure price of a car to win it.

At the start of the game, each player is given seven one-dollar bills, one for each digit of the price.

For each incorrect number guessed, the player must give one dollar back to Drew.

To win, the contestant must have $1 left after all the digits are revealed.

Reacting to the clip, Instagram users called for the game to be axed because it was too “hard” and almost impossible to win.

“I’ve been watching the show for 50 plus years and it’s very rare for someone to win on Lucky 7 that’s a hard game but good for her that must mean there’s going to be a show on tonight,” one person wrote.

Earlier this month, The U.S. Sun reported that The Price is Right viewers are disappointed by the show’s lack of innovation in recent years.

A high-ranking broadcast TV insider said Drew’s “shockingly traditional” approach to hosting the show, which has aired over 9,000 episodes, makes it seem like “throwback TV.”

“I do think Drew is living in the past a bit by holding onto this gig for so many years, but he loves the format and has since he was a kid,” the source claimed to The U.S. Sun.
