‘WOW, that’s from B&M!?’ people scream as man shows off epic hot tub transformation but some call it a ‘plastic tragedy’

A MAN has revealed how he gave his garden a total transformation using buys from B&M.
Hari, a DIY fan from Shropshire, UK, created his very own ‘luxury faux living wall’.
To go behind his Lay-Z Spa hot tub, the homeowner used artificial faux leaf screening, for £40 a pack from B&M, to decorate his hot tub area.
He confirmed that you get two in a pack, and he used eight packs in total, costing him £320.
Hari shared that the first job was to unpack the artificial greenery and then then attach it all together.
He then stapled the faux strips to a black wall, which was covered in a weed membrane which he also purchased from B&M.
The DIY enthusiast shared: “So I did this in strips of three, and then the halves on the bottom I did later on.
“It was really easy to pop up - we just stapled up in each corner and then into the middle.”
Once each strip was stapled down, he then measured out the middle section that was missing and used a pair of scissors to cut down the artificial squares.
He confessed: “It was so easy to cut, I couldn't believe it.”
When Hari had finished stapling everything to the wall, he then proudly showed off the final results, as he beamed: “They have really given the space some character and look amazing.”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @all_things_hari, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up a whopping 216,100 views.
BIG DIVIDE
But social media users were left totally divided by Hari’s artificial summer wall.
Whilst some thought it looked ‘brilliant’ and couldn’t believe the buys were from B&M, others weren’t so convinced.
That looks absolutely brilliant!
One person said: “Looks beautiful. I need to get this.”
Another added: “Looks mint! Well done.”
How to update your garden on the cheap
IF you want your garden to impress this summer, you've come to the right place...
Plan and Prioritise
Assess Your Space: Take a walk around your garden and note areas that need improvement.
Set a Budget: Determine how much you can afford to spend.
Prioritise Projects: Focus on high-impact areas first, like pathways, seating, or focal points.
DIY Projects
Build Your Own Planters: Use reclaimed wood, pallets, or other materials to create custom planters.
Create Garden Art: Use old items like tires, bottles, or cans to make unique garden decorations.
Pathways: Lay down gravel or mulch to create affordable and attractive garden paths.
Plant Smart
Buy Seeds, Not Plants: Seeds are cheaper than mature plants and offer a wider variety.
Share and Swap: Exchange plants and seeds with friends or join a local gardening club.
Grow Perennials: Invest in plants that come back year after year to save money in the long run.
Use Free Resources
Compost: Make your own compost from kitchen scraps and yard waste to enrich your soil.
Rainwater Collection: Set up a rain barrel to collect water for your garden.
Mulch: Use leaves, grass clippings, or wood chips as free mulch to retain soil moisture and suppress weeds.
Repurpose and Upcycle
Shop Smart
Maintenance
By using these tips, you can give your garden a fresh, updated look without spending a lot of money. Happy gardening!
Meanwhile, someone else questioned: “WOW! That’s from B&M?”
A plastic tragedy, and an expensive one at that
However, not everyone was as complimentary, and whilst many weren’t impressed by the appearance of the stylish wall, many were also stunned by the price of the artificial greenery.
One user snapped: “A plastic tragedy, and an expensive one at that. Landfill in two to three years.
"Should not be allowed to call it a “living wall”.”
A second wrote: “Not at all for me. Cant beat real plants and climbers.”
Whilst another user chimed in: “The spiders will love this.”
Meanwhile, a fourth explained: “No thank you, I’ll make that myself for cheaper.”
