“I was in the potato chip aisle, and the stocker who I don’t believe is an actual employee of Kroger, was so rude and hateful,” the shopper claimed on Facebook .

“I reached across his cart to grab a bag of chips and then almost hit me with cardboard as he walked by.

“I said ‘sorry, excuse me’ and he just stood there.

Things only got worse when they got to the checkout line.

“Then I get to the checkout and the older lady was [also] hateful, she had to do a price check on something that was $13 and I had four of them, so [I was overcharged] $52,” continued the shopper.

According to the shopper, the woman “goes to get the supervisor and she gets on the phone basically announcing to the whole front of the store, that this lady (me) had items that were marked down and she didn’t know what to do, in the grouchiest, most hateful and aggravated voice ever!”

The customer later stated that the woman’s rudeness went unmissed by those behind her who commented on it.

“They do not act like this when the manager is there. It’s ridiculous,” the post concluded.

The U.S Sun has reached out to Kroger for comment.

Walmart has also come under fire for overcharging its customers.

Earlier this month, the megastore was accused of overcharging a customer for a delivery and blaming it on the weight of the purchase.

“Don’t do pickups or deliveries with @Walmart, ” the angry social media user wrote .

    OTHER OVERCHARGES

Multiple customers have claimed on social media that they were overcharged by Walmart.

One shopper claimed he was overcharged $106 by the retail giant.

Jerry Blevins explained the situation in a Facebook post .

“I went back to the register and got a blank look then I went to customer service,” he said.

“Got a refund and also let them know about the actions of the cashier.”

What to do if you're overcharged

If you are overcharged at a retailer, there are a few ways to get your money back.

If you noticed you were charged more than the advertised or posted price, report it to an employee or manager.

Make sure to keep your receipt to show the price difference.

As a shopper, you are entitled to the lowest advertised, posted or quoted price offered by the store.

If you are charged more than the advertised, posted or quoted a price, report it to the sales clerk right away. If the sales clerk can’t help, speak to the manager.

Stores must honor a posted price, even if the price has expired.

You are also able to dispute charges with your bank if you notice something suspicious on your statement.

According to Los Angeles County Consumer& Business Affairs

Another customer claimed Walmart overcharged him $200 .

Facebook post , Dale Berry said he only purchased “a bag of dog food, 12 cans of ole Roy dog food, one gallon of Milo’s tea, a bottle of coconut oil, and a Dr.Pepper.”

However, his total came out to $257.20.

Berry also said that when customers “swipe a card at Walmart in case of a refund,” the retailer puts the money back on their card in three to ten 10 days.

“WELL THEY CHANGED THAT POLICY ON THE SPOT..with CASH,” he continued.
