‘Insanely classy’ people praise a woman over her DIY budget loo glow-up for under £100 – & it’s thanks to B&Q buys

A CASH-SAVVY woman has left people open-mouthed with her ''insanely classy'' toilet makeover costing less than £100.
DIY-loving Fern Hutchinson took to TikTok where she proved you don't need to fork out a fortune to revamp your property - a cheeky visit to B&Q, and you are good to go.
The thrifty mum, from West Sussex, spent under £100 to give the plain downstairs a new look, which also included affordable buys from Temu and the high street.
Although there was nothing wrong with the existing loo, the upcycling queen decided she wanted to zhuzh it up - and while it did take some time, the results were totally worth it.
''It did take me longer than planned because of how much precision went into measuring, cutting, and having kids running about, but I’m so pleased with the outcome!'' Fern said in the video.
To kick off the transformation process, the money-smart mum first headed to the home goods retailer B&Q where she bagged trim for £3.50, as well as moulding for an affordable £8.37 each.
To ensure the wall came out perfectly, Fern measured the bargains over and over again, before going in with a mitre block and sawing to get the angles right.
Meanwhile, to attach the wooden bits to the walls Fern used plenty of No More Nails glue and completed the process with caulk to fill in any gaps.
Explaining how she'd attached the wood panels to the wall to fellow TikTok users, Fern said she held the moulding for a minute or so.
''I always try and make sure I start from the bottom and work my way up, as then the bits at the bottom hold up the top better.''
Satisfied with the mouldings on the wall, the crafty mum went on in ''the most gorgeous colour'' - French Gray by F&B - and revamped the bottom section of the wall with a lick of colour.
The top bit remained its original shade - a light cream hue - however, to spruce it up, Fern attached leafy stickers she'd ordered from Temu.
''I used two rolls of it.. not sure how many that was but it was super cheap!''
Once done, it was time for decorations, including a stunning white rectangular mirror from The Range, where it retailed for £19.99, as well as a light shade from the same store.
''I am totally obsessed with the downstairs loo now that it’s done, and the best part about it - it cost under £100!'' the mum was stunned by what she had achieved - and so were the internet users.
