Team USA cleaned up in track and field once again in Paris to continue its dominance – despite Noah Lyles’ failed 200m bid.

The American team won three of the five events at the Stade de France Thursday night to add to their incredible haul.

And that could’ve been four, had Botswana’s Letsile Tebogo not beaten Kenneth Bednarek and Lyles to 200m glory.

Lyles, 27, ran the race with Covid and missed the chance to add that title to the 100m crown he won Sunday.

But Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone blew away the field moments later with a world record to win the 400m hurdles.

Her anticipated showdown with Holland’s Femke Bol never materialized as USA’s Anna Cockrell was a distant second.

The US had another gold and silver double haul to end the night on the track in the men’s 100m hurdles.

Grant Holloway stormed away from the field to win gold from USA teammate Daniel Roberts.

America’s third gold of the evening at the Stade de France came in the field in the women’s long jump.

Tara Davis-Woodhall was crowned Olympic champion, while fellow American Jasmine Moore also claimed bronze.

In all, the US won eight medals in five track and field events Thursday, with three of them gold.

The track and field team’s total haul was 27—nine gold, 10 silver, and eight bronze.

The next highest-placed team had six medals after Thursday’s action, while Canada (two golds) was the only other nation with more than one gold medal.

“USA not playing in track & field. We collecting medals after medals. Wow! Go Team USA,” one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“USA track & field taking all the gold medals this night,” another posted.

There are two days left in the track and field program and more medal chances ahead.

Both 4x100m relay teams cruised through their heats Thursday and will go for gold Friday.
