In July 2024, a Fair Labor Standards Act class action lawsuit against TransAm Trucking was settled.

The Kansas -based trucking company agreed to pay $3.75 million to resolve the lawsuit.

The settlement comes after the company reportedly failed to pay wages required by federal law.

According to Top Class Actions , TransAm Trucking “allegedly did not pay truckers for orientation and training time, causing them to work multiple days with no compensation.”

While the trucking company didn’t officially admit to the claimed wrongdoings, they did agree to the million-dollar payout.

TransAm claims they’ve “chosen to settle to avoid prolonged class action litigation,” as per Medium .

According to the company, the settlement was considered a “practical decision” rather than an admission.

The company reportedly wants to move forward and focus on its business and employees.

TransAm Trucking has locations in the Midwest, Mid-South, Northeast, and Southeast of the United States .

    WHO BENEFITS?

TransAm Trucking allegedly failed to pay their drivers during orientation in Texas and Florida .

The orientations took place between October 2020 and March 2021.

The payout amount will be determined based on which section of the class action lawsuit you fall under.
