T-Mobile is overcharging me by $26 for services I don’t have – it keeps happening and customer services takes forever

A T-MOBILE customer has vented about alleged overcharges that they say keep coming.
They said the company has been charging them an extra $26 every billing cycle.

The user shared their plight on Reddit, and got some advice.
They said it was around the fourth time they had to call the company and ask for a refund.
EXTRA CHARGE
The Redditor said that he was getting charged $176, while he’s meant to be paying $150.
They were told it was due to a subscription service.
“When I call they tell me it was some random charge from Netflix (which i don’t have with them),” they said.
T-Mobile offers deals that bundle Netflix with phone service, but this customer said they don’t take part.
Despite calling to fix the error, the customer said it keeps appearing.
“I have to keep reaching out to get this fixed,” they said. “Its a hassle because their customer support also takes forever to reach even through text and I have to keep retelling my story over and over.”
But the charge kept coming, in part because they had an auto-pay system set up.
“Take off auto pay,” one said.
Another said they had a similar experience.
“I canceled t mobile because of this exact s*** they pull,” they said. “They do all little charges on auto pay expecting you not to notice and then give you a hard time to get your own money back.
“You should consider taking off auto pay and give them your money when you decide.”
MOBILE MADNESS
T-Mobile has been in trouble over charges before.
The company planned to raise fees on some plans earlier this summer.
Some accused them of deception after some believed their plans were under a “price lock”.
However, the provider slashed the cost of its home internet service.
Auto-payments can save you an additional $5.
The company recently made a major acquisition.
Cellular Sales
Here's what Joy Dumandan, Consumer Editor with The U.S. Sun, has to say...
T-Mobile is making moves again in the cellular space.
On May 1, 2024, the company announced, "The deal is done!" in reference to its acquisition of Ka'ena Corporation.
The $1.35 billion deal included Mint Mobile.
Mint is a company backed by actor Ryan Reynolds.
Reynolds said he'll continue his creative role on behalf of Mint.
In April 2020, T-Mobile merged with Sprint. At the time, the deal said it would "deliver a transformative 5G network."
This time around, T-Mobile's acquisition of US Cellular touts it as the "country's largest and fastest 5G network."
There's a twist.
Earlier this month, The Wall Street Journal reported on T-Mobile and Verizon both in talks to buy parts of US Cellular.
Now that T-Mobile swooped in, any hope for Verizon to purchase a part appears to be dashed.
T-Mobile's acquisition of US Cellular must get regulatory approvals, but the companies expect to close in 2025.
The company confirmed a $40 per month plan for some users.
