SYDNEY McLaughlin-Levrone was so dominant in the women’s 4×400 meters relay final that NBC was forced to use an extreme wide angle shot.

The Americans finished more than four seconds ahead of the Netherlands, who secured the silver medal in a photo finish.

Great Britain edged Ireland for the bronze medal.

And NBC Sports was forced to adapt its live Olympic broadcast to Team USA’s huge lead to show just how far ahead they were of their rivals.

“They’re gonna need to go to aerial coverage at the end here,” one fan joked.

“Sydney is a cheat code!” another fan said.

“That was a Secretariat in the Belmont level a** whooping,” another fan noted.

Shamier Little got the Americans up and running before handing over the baton over to McLaughlin-Levrone.

The 400m gold medalist turned in incredible split of 47.70sec to give the Americans an unassailable lead.

Gabby Thomas ran the third leg, with Alexis Holmes cruising home to win the gold medal.

The Americans narrowly missed the world record set by the former Soviet Union in 1988.

Thomas picked up her third track and field gold medal following success in women’s 200m and 4x100m relay.

Quanera Hayes, Little, Aaliyah Butler and Kaylyn Brown took part in the prelims on Friday.

All seven runners will receive gold medals.

The US women have now won eight golds in a row in the 4x400m relay.

Team USA also continued their track and field dominance with victory in the men’s event, with 16-year-old Quincy Wilson securing a historic gold after competing in the prelims.

Wilson has become the youngest male American track and field gold medalist in Olympic history.
