Katie Holmes’ look-alike daughter Suri Cruise, 18, wears tank top and shorts as teen waits for subway in New York

SURI Cruise, the daughter of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, has been seen rocking a casual look while venturing around New York City.

The new photos come just days before the 18-year-old heads off to college at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania .

Suri , who has remained out of the Hollywood spotlight in recent years, was seen waiting for the subway in a tank top, shorts, and color-blocked sneakers.

Her plunging purple tank was paired with low-rise black sweat shorts that fell to her knees and featured writing on the backside.

Looking like her mom, the teenager rocked a neutral face of makeup and had her dark brown hair styled down in loose, natural waves.

Suri also held her phone in her hand and threw a bag over her shoulder as she waited for transportation.

The teen had a blank expression on her face and had her arms crossed in front of her body.

SWITCHING HER IDENTITY

Earlier this summer, Suri walked the stage at her high school graduation, which took place at the United Palace Theatre in New York.

Katie , 45, was in attendance to support her daughter.

She wore a cream-colored outfit consisting of a button-up sweater and flared pants.

The Dawson’s Creek actress gained sole custody of Suri following her 2012 split from Tom, 62.

The mother-daughter duo have been living an under-the-radar life in New York City ever since.

In the graduation pamphlet , Suri used her middle name — Suri Noelle— instead of her last name, Cruise.

The name switch was noted shortly before, as she was also listed as Suri Noelle in the Playbill while she performed in Head Over Heels on Broadway earlier this year.

In an interview with Daily Mail last spring, a source revealed that Tom is no longer involved in his daughter’s life at all.

“Suri does not know her father anymore and she has not spent time with him in a decade,” the insider claimed.

The 18-year-old hasn’t seen her father since her mom, actress Katie Holmes , divorced him when she was five.

Katie, 44, gained sole custody of Suri in 2012 and a generous settlement from her ex-husband.

Many fans believe that the reason behind the split was Tom’s association with the cult-like religion of Scientology.

After the divorce, Katie went off the grid with her daughter as they rebuilt their lives in New York, 2,400 miles away from the action star.

The actor has been accused of putting his religion before his daughter, with ex-Scientologists claiming he has been ordered to shun the Dawson’s Creek star and their child as non-believers.

High-profile former church member Samantha Domingo, daughter-in-law of opera singer Placido, said in 2019, “You can’t be anti-Scientology if you’re part of Tom’s family, you will be disconnected — look at his daughter Suri.”

She added that the church, which believes mankind is descended from an alien race of gods, viewed Suri “as a spiritual being in Tom’s daughter’s body.”

Despite his estrangement from the teen, the Top Gun star has remained in contact with his two older children, Isabella, 31, and Connor, 29, — who are both heavily involved in Scientology.

Tom adopted the two while married to his ex-wife Nicole Kidman, who has also allegedly been cut from their lives as a “suppressed person” — SP — someone who does not believe in the church.

“She does not go to see his movies and he has no part in her life.”

Tom is still close to his older children, whom he adopted with actress Nicole Kidman : Isabella, 31, and Connor, 29.

RECENT SPOTTING

Earlier this month, the teen was spotted out and about in New York City again, appearing to be in a better mood as she walked with friends.

She went for another laid-back outfit with a forest-green top, blue striped pants and brown clogs.

The tight shirt draped off her shoulders and contrasted with the loose-fitting bottoms.

The 18-year-old also appeared to be holding a vintage photo camera in her hands for the outing.

She and her friends finished their looks with tote bags and duffles fastened on their shoulders.
