I was ‘banned for life from American Airlines’ & forced to pay $1.4k – 12 days later I found out why and called lawyers

A WOMAN who was reportedly put on American Airlines’ no-fly list was left open-mouthed when she was told the reason why.

Erin Wright, 24, was boarding a domestic flight to New Orleans in June when airport staff informed her of the ban.

However, the check in agent allegedly refused to explain why.

According to Erin, she then had to fork out $1,400 on a flight with a separate airline in order to reach her destination.

A few weeks later, American Airlines contacted Erin to inform her why she was nudged onto the no-fly list.

In a video uploaded to TikTok , she explained that she was allegedly banned for “having sexual relations with a man on a flight while intoxicated,” much to Erin’s surprise.

“I am a 24-year-old lesbian,” said Erin, who was travelling to Louisiana to attend her sister’s bachelorette party.

“You see me. Am I having sexual relations with any man? No.

“I was like, ‘what?’ because I’ve never done anything.

“What did I get banned for, can you tell me?

“[The gate agent] was like, ‘I’m really sorry, it’s an issue of internal security.’

“‘I can’t tell you but the person on the phone told me that you should know why.'”

Wright says she was urged to send an email to customer relations to find out why she wasn’t allowed to board the flight.

She continued: “I’m really frustrated and have to spend another eight hours in the airport waiting for my other flight.

“I finally get an email from corporate security saying that I have been banned because I was having sexual relations with a man on a flight while intoxicated.

“It took 12 days and many emails from me between when I contacted customer relations to when I actually got an email back.”

During that period, staff allegedly refused to remove her from the no-fly list, at which point Erin filed an official appeal.

“I email them a very serious email, but also somewhat funny, because in it I am like ‘I don’t really know how to prove it wasn’t me except for the fact that I am literally a lesbian,'” she said.

“I can like get you letters from other people telling you that that’s the truth.”

    Unruly flyers

Although pilots and flight attendants have intended for flights to be peaceful, some passengers have experienced horror stories in the sky.

Flyers on a United Airlines plane were shocked when a passenger appeared to bite a flight attendant mid-air .

This hostile passenger was restrained with zip ties and caused the flight to land early.

Another flyer was arrested after she shockingly appeared to hit his wife on a plane.

A screaming match broke out on board and caused this flight to make an emergency landing.

After three months had passed, Erin’s mother allegedly reached out to the airline’s legal department and successfully had her removed from the list.

Erin was also reimbursed $400 for the flight to New Orleans.

Viewers of the clip flocked to slam American Airlines for their alleged mistake.

“How did they even make that mistake?” one viewer wrote.

“That’s a wild claim to make on someone!”

A second added: “Yeah, that’s why I refuse to fly American Airlines.”

A third weighed in: “Don’t hold your breath, American Airlines is awful.

    “Glad TikTok helped!”

The U.S Sun has reached out to American Airlines and Erin Wright for comment.

It comes after one American Airlines passenger allegedly tried to have sex with a flight attendant and attempted to open the plane door several times sparking mid-air chaos.

Mayhem erupted on the Seattle, Washington , to Dallas, Texas , flight, on July 18 causing the plane to make an emergency landing.

The New Jersey man reportedly told an arresting officer that he had eaten “approximately ten marijuana edibles,” according to The Sacramento Bee .

A federal judge charged Gapco with interference with a flight crew and attempted damage to an aircraft.

This case is being investigated by the FBI Salt Lake City Field Office and Salt Lake City Police Department.
