TikTok user Mark ( @financeunfolded ) posted an eighth installment to his “Best Summer Side Hustles for Teens” series on the platform.

In this video, he shared an easy side gig for teenagers looking to make a quick buck while school is out.

Not only is it a quick buck, but you can make as much as $2,100 a month with this easy job.

All you need is a few supplies and around an hour to start.

    WHAT YOU NEED

Mark gave his followers the idea of starting a dog washing business, and it just takes about $25 to get the supplies you require.

This includes shampoo, a towel, a brush, and anything else that might be necessary for you to bathe a dog.

The first thing you should do after that, according to Mark, is find a dog to wash.

To do so, the TikToker recommends sharing your new business on Facebook Groups and Craigslist to get the word out there of the services you’re offering.

Once you’ve acquired your dog to wash, you can get everything from washing, rinsing, and drying done within 40 minutes, according to the video.

After a quick search from Mark in regard to pricing, he found that mobile grooming goes for around $75 per dog, and recommends you charge the same.

Using this price tag, by washing only seven dogs in a week, you can make up to $525 per week.

That’s a whopping $2,100 per month just washing dogs.

    MORE SIDE CASH

In a surprising revelation, TikToker @samm.zia has shared his unconventional strategy for earning an impressive $10,000 a month as a high school student.

His secret? Knocking on doors in his neighborhood to offer house and car washing services.

    Side hustles and tax implications

The extra income made from side hustles may need to be reported to the IRS.

If you receive more than $600 in gross payouts from a selling platform like eBay, the site will issue you a Form 1099-K to use in your tax return.

Individuals should calculate their adjusted gross income, taxable earnings, and deductions for the year.

Once they have that, they can use the 1040-ES form to calculate estimated taxes.

In a video , Zia detailed his straightforward approach to this lucrative side gig.

“Literally any guy can do this. It does not take that much skill,” he stated, emphasizing the accessibility of his method.

His strategy involved visiting every house in his neighborhood, introducing himself, and building rapport with residents by mentioning that he also lived nearby.

After establishing trust, Zia would entice homeowners with a seemingly generous offer: a $50 discount on his cleaning services.

This tactic aimed to make his services more appealing and increase the likelihood of acceptance.

The flexibility of running his own business was another perk Zia highlighted.

“That’s another cool thing about having your own business; you kind of decide when you want to work and how much you want to get paid per project,” he explained.

This autonomy allowed him to manage his schedule around school and other commitments, a significant advantage for a busy high schooler.

Towards the end of the video, Zia encouraged his viewers to consider starting their own businesses at a young age, suggesting that doing so helped him shift from an “employee mindset” to one of independence and self-initiative.

Another TikToker has managed to rake in an impressive $8,400 each month simply by offering a service to clean out trash cans in his community.

There’s also an innovative Halloween-themed side hustle that has the potential to earn individuals a whopping $12,000 during the spooky season .
