‘Do better’ blast Bath & Body Works fans as final installment of Stranger Things candle collection is a ‘bummer’

BATH & Body Works has released a trailer on its Facebook page revealing its Chapter 2 collaboration with Netflix's Stranger Things - and fans are not excited.

The clip starts with a yellow rotary dial phone ringing and a hand reaching to pick it up.

A thunder bang is heard and the screen gets blurry and then the phone is left hanging off the hook.

The clip ends with the phone swinging back and forth while it rains in the background.

The video is captioned, "888-712-0558 — The lab reports are in! Can you guess the fragrances for Bath & Body Works x Stranger Things: Chapter 2? ​Give us a call."

Fans rushed to the video to share their displeasure with the upcoming products.

"This is bummer city. Gross. Yuck. Prices are higher," wrote one fan.

"Moonlit Graveyard is not back. Who's the person in charge of marketing and release? I pray they do better with their role," the fan continued.

"I hope they do better than those candles....they were horrible," slammed a second.

"Do better B&B!" a third said.

"The stranger things candles smell really bad," said a fourth fan.

The Bath & Body Works x Stranger Things: Chapter 2 collection is set to hit stores on August 22.

Along with three new candles, the collection will offer fans 15 new limited-edition products including PocketBac hand sanitizers, soaps, and wallflowers.

For those who want to snag the new items online, they can grab them at bathandbodyworks.com starting at 6:15 am on the same day.

The Chapter 2 collection will offer fans three different scents they can get their hands on.

The candle comes in a package that features his guitar and the texture from his staple leather jacket.

Once the candle is lit customers can expect to smell fragrances of black leather, soft musk, and smoked suede.

Another candle offered in the Chapter 2 collection is The Demogorgon which is inspired by an orchid that the Demogorgon was based on.

The candle comes in a package that features the head of the monster and reveals petals lined with sharp teeth.

When the candle wick is burning fans can expect to smell scents of black orchid petals, spicy cedarwood, and dark patchouli.

The final candle in the new collection is The Upside Down which is inspired by the Hawkins woods and is packaged with a design that features the iconic vines found in The Upside Down.

Each candle is priced at $29.95 while candleholders cost $49.95.

Each candle contains 3-wicks and has a burn time of approximately 25-45 hours, promising a lasting aromatic delight.

THE PAST COLLECTION

This comes after Bath & Body Works released its Chapter 1 Stranger Things collection back on July 18.

The first collection channeled nostalgic '80s vibes with a unique twist through four exclusive 3-wick candles, capturing the scents and tastes of Hawkins.

The first collection's candles included Steve’s Scoops, which is inspired by Scoops Ahoy and the character Steve.

Argyle’s Pineapple Pizza, which is inspired Surfer Boy Pizza and named after an employee, Argyle.

Hopper’s Coffee which is inspired by Jim Hopper, Hawkins Chief of Police, and Eleven’s Waffles which is inspired by Eleven's fixation.

Stranger Things is headed into its fifth and final season and it's already halfway done with filming.

The highly anticipated fifth season of the show has been confirmed for a 2025 release, according to Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos.
