IT’S understandable if you don’t want to attempt doing your own DIY around the house.

Hammering, and tearing down walls isn’t for everyone.

But with the cost of living crisis making us become more savvy with our spending, forking out on a professional to change your kitchen around may be at the bottom of your list.

Luckily, there are other small tweaks you can do to your house which mean you don’t have to tear down the walls.

And one DIY fan has just a trick for the kitchen.

Susan Harte, who posted a picture of her kitchen transformation in the Facebook group called Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, revealed how she only spent a few pounds.

She bought some door handles from the bargain online retailer Temu.

Sharing a picture of her kitchen doors, she wrote: “Handles from Temu...very happy with them 55p each...come with screws too.”

The large black handles have given her kitchen a new look as they are screwed into white cupboard doors.

The picture received 400 likes, with over 120 people rushing to the comments section to share their thoughts.

One said: “Well worth the wait sometimes, the handles look great.”

Another added: “Some things are worth waiting for.”

Some couldn’t believe the handles only cost 55p each, whilst others wondered why they “hadn’t looked” at the Temu website for door handles before.

Another also found similar handles on the online retailer Shien website.

The handles start from 64mm and go up to 160mm.

And many also tagged their friends in the picture to share the savvy DIY hack.
