Pitbull responds after Kesha’s name is removed from their song Timber as fans rage ‘add it back!’

KESHA fans have called out Pitbull after the singer’s name was removed from the smash hit Timber.

In 2012, two of the biggest names in music came together to release the iconic country – pop bop.

The song currently has over 1.5 billion views and streams on both YouTube and Spotify .

Over the weekend, Kesha fans noticed that her name was removed from the title track displayed on YouTube.

However, Kesha’s name is still linked on Spotify and Apple Music .

Fans were quick to flood Pitbul l’s social media with comments wondering what happened.

“Removing Kesha’s name from the Timber music video is nasty work. Pitbull’s team needs to fix this,” one wrote.

Another claimed, “She might’ve been featured but people know this as a Kesha song more than a Pitbull song.”

“Timber would be nothing without Kesha,” a third fan raged.

PITBULL SPEAKS OUT

On Sunday, Pitbull responded to the online criticism.

On X , the singer wrote, “Kesha and I have an incredible song together.

“Nothing will change this. Team Pitbull is looking into this matter.”

Always nothing but love for Kesha. Dale!” he concluded.

Fans were both relieved and happy that Pitbull spoke out about the situation.

“Happy that Pitbull is standing up for Kesha like this,” one wrote.

Another echoed, “Pitbull always has Kesha’s back. Love to see it!”

“He better add her name back!” a third exclaimed.

“Make sure it doesn’t happen again cause Kesha has been through ENOUGH in this industry,” a fourth fan raged.

Over the years, Kesha went through a huge lawsuit with her former producer Dr. Luke after she claimed he allegedly sexually assaulted her .

Since then, the Tik Tok singer has been living her best life while releasing music as an independent artist.

On July 4, she released her hit Joyride.

GETTING THE CREDIT

Earlier in her career, Kesha sang on Flo Rida ‘s 2008 hit Right Round, but wasn’t credited at first.

Kesha was heard during the chorus of the rap song .

However, at the time, Kesha was just happy to be a part of the song.

“I didn’t get credit, I didn’t get paid,” she told Entertainment Weekly in 2010.

“Honestly, I walked into the studio and there was Flo Rida and Dr. Luke doing the song, and I was like, ‘I’ll just sing on it. I’m just happy you like my voice enough to put me on your song.'”

On the contrary, Flo Rida revealed that she “got something” for singing on his song.

“I’m pretty sure she got something.

“I’m not familiar with that, but much love to her career and everything.”

As of late, Kesha is credited on the song as a feature.
