    US Open 2024 prize money: How much is the record-breaking pot for iconic tennis Grand Slam?

    SOME of the world's best tennis stars will be going at it for a chance to lift the US Open title - and the record-breaking prize money is certainly a huge incentive.

    Reigning Men's Singles champion Novak Djokovic clinched his 24th Grand Slam by beating rival Daniil Medvedev in the 2023 final.

    While American idol Coco Gauff became Women's Singles champion that same year with a huge comeback win over Aryna Sabalenka.

    And as a result, it saw both winners pocket a staggering $3million in prize money from a $65m pot.

    Under the current exchange rates, that is approximately £2.3m.

    This was 8% more than what the winners during the 2022 edition took home.

    However, the pot has increased in size once again to what is now the largest purse in tennis history.

    What is the US Open 2024 prize money?

    A record $75m in prize money will be handed out at the US Open 2024.

    The Men's and Women's Singles champions will both walk away with $3.6m.

    This is a 15% increase from the 2023 tournament.

    • Winners: $3.6m
    • Runners-up: $1.8m
    • Semi-final: $1m
    • Quarter-final: $530,000
    • Fourth round: $325,000
    • Third round: $215,000
    • Second round: $140,000
    • First round: $100,000

    How does the US Open 2024 prize money compare to the other Grand Slams?

    The winning prize money for this year's US Open is the most across all four Grand Slams.

    Australian Open: $3.1m (£2.3m)

    French Open: $2.5m (£1.9m)

    Wimbledon $3.4m (£2.6m)

    US Open: $3.6m (£2.7m)
