On Sunday, the veteran weatherman shared a photograph of him and Oprah, who turned 70 earlier this year, enjoying a hearty meal to mark his milestone birthday.

The duo were seated in the middle of a beautiful, lush garden in the picture, which Al captioned, “Talk about a great birthday present.

“The one and only Oprah shares #lifelessons about turning #70,” he continued. “Still processing the conversation. It was that good.”

Al’s birthday dinner with the broadcasting legend will be aired during Tuesday’s episode of the Today show as part of his 70th birthday celebrations.

Al, who joined the NBC show as its weekday meteorologist in 1996, vowed to share Oprah’s life lessons with Today show viewers in a follow-up Instagram post.

In a carousel post on Monday, August 19, he included pictures of himself and Oprah enjoying a garden barbecue and clinking their glasses together.

“Got to cook for, have a drink with, and get some great advice about turning the Big 7-Oh from Ms. O herself,” Al captioned it, reminding Today fans to tune in tomorrow for “an amazing conversation.”

Al’s meal with Oprah comes days after his wife, Deborah Roberts, organized an early birthday party for him.

The 63-year-old ABC News journalist shared photos from the star-studded bash on Instagram last week at City Winery in New York city.

Al’s Today show colleague Savannah Guthrie was in attendance, along with CBS Mornings co-host Gayle King and ABC’s Good Morning America co-presenter Robin Roberts.

Al’s three children, daughters Courtney, 37, and Leila, 25, and son Nicholas, 22, also reunited at their father’s birthday celebrations.

Al shares Courtney with his ex-wife Alice Bell.

Following his divorce in 1994, he married Deborah in 1995, and the couple welcomed Leila and Nick together.

Deborah captioned the Instagram post, “Let the birthday countdown begin for Al Roker. We love and appreciate you so much that we simply had to begin celebrating early!!

The TODAY Show is an American television program airing on NBC at 7am. The broadcast discusses domestic and international news, as well as weather reports. The weekday and weekend hosts include:

“Let’s keep dancing into the next week and your new decade.”

Several celebrities shared their birthday wishes for Al in the comments section, with Viola Davis writing, “Wooooohoooo!!!!! Happiest of birthdays Al!! What a blessed man you are!!”

Today’s co-host Jenna Bush Hager expressed her regret over missing the party, writing, “So gorgeous! So sorry to miss! Love you both.”

Author and actress Holly Robinson Peete added, “So awesome! I wish we could’ve been there.”

    ‘A WORK-IN-PROGRESS’

Deborah and Al reflected on their 28-year marriage in an exclusive interview with The U.S. Sun earlier this year .

When asked what the secret to a long, happy union is, Deborah replied, “Oh, my gosh. I think the biggest thing is not to tell anybody that you have it figured out, because we don’t.

“We are working at it constantly. We are a work in progress.”

Admitting marriage is not always “easy”, she continued, “Life is all about growing and evolving and sometimes compromising and sometimes not.”

The couple will celebrate their 29th wedding anniversary on September 16, 2024, less than one month after Al turns 70.

Al also gave fans a health update after he underwent major knee surgery last May, which forced him to take a four-week break from presenting the Today show.

In a May interview, he told The U.S. Sun, “Everything’s great. Yeah, I feel good.

“I’ve been getting out, walking, and now the warm weather is coming, so, you know, I mean, we didn’t really have a spring, but that’s okay. It’s all good, it’s all good.”
