The discontent among Sephora users was prominently voiced on social media .

“Never ever buying from @Sephora ever again. Worst website and customer service,” tweeted one person.

Another customer reported being unable to access her Sephora account despite multiple attempts to reset her password.

She said she kept receiving an error message pop-up.

Her attempts to resolve the issue, including using the “forgot my password” feature, were unsuccessful.

A third user shared a screenshot of an error message, writing , “What does this error mean @Sephora? This is not very demure.”

The error message read, “This operation couldn’t be completed. Sephora.WSError error 1.”

    SOME RESPONSE

Sephora’s customer service team has been actively engaging with users on X in response to the outcry.

The retailer apologized and requested affected customers to send a direct message to them for further assistance.

“We’re sorry to hear that!” the retailer wrote under one of the complaints.

“If you need assistance, please DM us with your order number or registered email address and the details.”

Sephora replied with a similar message under each tweet.

The issue is not isolated, as many Sephora’s help forum customers reported similar problems.

“I’m sorry to hear this! Please clear the cookies and cache on your browser. You may need to look up how to do this on your specific device. If the issue persists, please also try switching to another browser or the Sephora app.

“You may send me a private message with your registered email address if you need any additional assistance.

The representative also gave this customer the option to reach out to Sephora’s live chat or by telephone.

Sephora isn’t the only retailer at which shoppers have threatened to stop shopping.
