IN a city of over eight million people, a good view can make you feel on top of the world.

Luckily, the highest rooftop pool in New York City is open to the public.

Located between the 38th and 39th floors of the Renaissance New York Chelsea Hotel , Somewhere Nowhere provides unbeatable views of the famed New York skyline.

While guests don’t necessarily have to stay at the hotel, there is an entry fee for access to the rooftop.

Guests 21 years and older can make a reservation (recommended but not required) for a rooftop spot.

Travelers can drop by the rooftop in the summer, starting in late May every year.

While the entry fee isn’t cheap at $125 per person, the ticket has additional perks that may make it worthwhile.

While cheaper general admission tickets to the pool cost $100 per person, the reservation only provides admission and access to the heated rooftop pool.

A rooftop pool lounge seating reservation includes reserved outdoor lounge seating alongside access to the hotel’s heated rooftop pool.

The pool is open for swimming Thursday through Sunday until 4:30 pm, weather permitting.

Guests can also snack and drink in the rooftop’s poolside lounge and bar and take a breather from the summer heat with an outdoor shower, changing area, towel service, and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Menu items include scallop ceviche, tuna tartare, bucatini, and buttermilk fried chicken tacos.

Various house cocktails are also available, including Jazz Night specials.

The rooftop’s indoor lounge also makes a scenic spot for Instagrammable moments, with a magical garden theme, gnome statues, disco balls, and colorful flowers.

Those looking for a day of rest and relaxation can also reserve a poolside daybed for $165 a pop.

Tickets include a daybed rental for up to two hours and complimentary Fiji water.

Each daybed can fit up to two people but allows up to three people per reservation.

A minimum of two people is required for all daybed reservations.

The venue also offers regular nightlife events, including Gotham Jazz on Wednesdays, where the lounge turns into a speakeasy in the sky overnight.

Entertainment includes burlesque dancers, a live band, singers, and a Happy Hour with $15 cocktails.

Visitors should dress according to the event’s business casual dress code.

Swing DJ sets begin at 7 pm, with the live band to appear on stage from 7:30 pm to 11:15 pm weekly.
