90 Day Fiancé star Michael Ilesanmi begs fans to help pay for nasty Angela Deem divorce as he raises $42,750 on GoFundMe

MICHAEL Ilesanmi has received stunning fan support after asking for financial help to win his ugly legal battle against Angela Deem.

The Nigerian reality star arrived in the U.S. in 2023 but left his wife after three months due to the stress of their marital woes.

90 Day Fiance fans may recall Michael and Angela finding on-screen love in 2017.

The TV stars had a rocky relationship , with Angela dubbing him a “user” and never trusting him – but he still chose to stay with her and married her.

He fled shortly after, and in August, he disclosed that Angela had annulled their marriage to have him deported back to Nigeria , according to Yahoo .

Michael – still in the States – has contacted fans for help.

He launched a GoFundMe fundraiser on August 13, 2024, set for $25,000.

Surprisingly, he reached his goal in just two days.

The page was created so Michael could afford to hire an attorney to defend himself against Angela.

He initially set the goal at $50,000 but decreased it by half upon launching.

So it was a surprise when viewers sided with him, and as of August 20, 2024, he’s reached $42,670.

“I have obtained an attorney, but the fees are expensive,” Michael’s GoFundMe page reads alongside a photo of him smiling.

“There are time restraints and deadlines so seeking pro-bono help doesn’t fit these circumstances.

“I have a legal battle to fight and that fight will be expensive.

“The money that is being donated will be used to cover all legal expenses in connection with this annulment and any other legal matters I may have to deal with as a result of this annulment filing.

“I am asking all my fans to help – whatever you can give I would deeply appreciate.”

Given the massive fan support, Michael added: “Update: Thank you so so much for all of your generous support!”

Fans flooded the page’s comments section to wish him well against Angela.

“Michael, I hope you see the love and support we all feel for you. Black man, hold your head up and know that you are covered. Praying for you, brother,” one comment read.

“ON GOD WE GONE GET YOU OUTTA THERE!” another fan wrote.

“Congratulations on leaving Angela. I hope this helps and ultimately you can lead a long, healthy and productive life in America. Keep strong in your faith and in your path,” wrote a third.

Over 2000 people donated to support Michael and to see Angela lose.

According to ScreenRant , this makes Michael’s GoFundMe one of the fastest fundraisers in the 90-Day Fiancé franchise’s history.

FIAN-SAY WHAT?

Meanwhile, Michael surprised fans by making what appeared to be a big purchase after posting the GoFundMe.

Last week, Michael reposted an Instagram Story in which an employee of the Discount Tire store thanked him for his visit.

The employee posed with him and wrote: “shout out to @mykol_01 of 90 Day Fiancé for showing some love at Discount Tire” and referring to Michael as “cool a** dude.”

While Michael didn’t reveal what he was buying, he looked thrilled in the video and some fans speculated he was purchasing a car.

The timing of the repost given his GoFundMe drew critics with many speculating Michael used the extra money he made to splurge on a car.

“Michael seems like a genuine man who truly appreciates his fans. It may be that he visited Discount Tire accompanying a friend,” one Reddit user wrote in a fan page. “He may also have decided to buy a new car ahead of his legal proceedings.”
