A FAMILY is seeking answers after a man went missing while on vacation as haunting footage captures the last time he was seen.
Stanley Kotowski, 60, left his family’s vacation rental in South Carolina last Friday morning and hasn’t been seen since, according to his relatives.
Strangely, he didn’t take any of his personal belongings with him such as his phone or wallet, said the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.
He is also believed to be barefoot, said authorities.
Kotowski’s family said he had been struggling with anxiety recently, reported ABC affiliate WJCL-TV .
“He had really bad insomnia for about a month. This is like a brand-new thing,” his wife, Jackie Kotowski, told the outlet.
“He doesn’t have dementia. His anxiety just kept getting worse and worse and worse and he started to get a little paranoid, and he thought someone was chasing him.”
His son, Zak, said that despite his anxiety , his father is a “strong person.”
“He’s athletic. He could, even in a delirious state, shoeless, he could get a few towns over.”
Kotowski’s family reported him missing two hours after he was last seen, said the BCSO Master Sergeant Daniel Allen.
He was listed as endangered due to his mental state, the length of time he has been missing, and because he was last seen without shoes on, said Allen.
The search for Kotowski has included K9s, helicopters, drones, boats, and a foot patrol, said the sheriff’s office.
Allen said there have been some tips but none that have led to any substantial.
“Unfortunately with all the efforts that they’ve been putting out, from literally air, land, and water, we have not made contact with him at this point,” he told ABC News .
Kotowski’s information was listed in national databases and sent to several agencies across the state.
His family has stayed at Hilton Head Island, where he was last seen, and are refusing to leave without him.

“We just want him to come home,” his wife said. “We need help from anybody who can assist us in finding him.”
“We love you. Come home, we just want you home,” Zak said in a special message for his father.
Kotowski was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt with a Coors Light logo and dark shorts.
He was captured on Ring camera footage without any shoes on.
He is about six feet tall and weighs around 200 pounds with short brown hair, brown eyes, and is described as having a thick Boston accent.
The BCSO has asked nearby residents to check their security cameras for any sign of Kotowski.
The U.S. Sun has reached out to the BCSO for comment.
