A WALMART customer is outraged over long wait times that ruined her shopping experience.

After calling for a manager, the shopper was left waiting even longer before exiting the store.

Evelyn Price detailed her disastrous Walmart experience in an August 2024 Facebook post .

“Just came back from Walmart. I go to this store about every other day,” she began her social media complaint.

Price then claimed that the store had only one cashier on duty while about 20 people waited to check out.

“I called for a manager! This is crazy!! I waited ten minutes for a manager. Left my buggy and will no longer shop at Walmart!!!!” she continued.

“That was one hour out of my life I will never get back!

“I’m p*ssed!!! I will go out of my way from now on!

Price then said that she is anticipating Meijer’s opening and hopes Walmart closes .

“I can’t wait for Mejers to open. I hope they put Walmart out of business!!!”

Price then revealed in the comments that the retailer only had two self-checkout lanes open.

” I got fed up and left,” she added.

“Never did like that store, I avoid it like the pla[g]ue!!” another shopper wrote.

    “Bad management,” one said.

Other customers encouraged Price to shop online rather than in person.

    SELF-CHECKOUT SWITCH-UP

Many stores have turned to self-checkout over the traditional cashier experience.

However, after imposing item limits, many have returned to traditional registers.

Anti-theft measures rolled out by retailers

Retailers across the US and Canada have rolled out strategies designed to combat theft. The U.S. Sun has compiled a list of measures that have been implemented at stores.

    • Locking items in cabinets.
    • Security pegs.
    • Security cameras.
    • Signs warning about the impact of theft.
    • Receipt scanners.
    • Receipt checks.
    • Carts with locking technology

Customers have complained that Target’s 10 items or less rule has negatively impacted their shopping experience due to a lack of self-checkout kiosks open .

“It takes 10-15 minutes to check out at the self-checkout in the Santa Clara Target,” one shopper wrote in an X post .

“And they’ve like two register[s] open. I stopped going.”

“@Target thought when you made self-checkout 10 items or less, that meant more registers?” wrote another unhappy shopper.

“The one register open has 6 people in it, and self-checkout has 12.”
