    Beloved magician Jim McClenahan dead as shocked fans pay tribute to their ‘favorite’ entertainer

    A BELOVED children’s entertainer from New York has died after working as a magician for over 25 years.

    White Post Farms in Melville, New York , confirmed on social media that Jim McClenahan, the star of The Magic & Comedy of Jim McClenahan Show, has died .

    It is not immediately clear how the longtime magician died.

    The children’s farm shared a touching tribute to McClenahan, who had performed at the farm for over 15 years.

    “Jim was an amazing individual who brought laughter and wonder to countless guests of White Post Farms, where he became a cherished part of our farm family,” the post read.

    “He was constantly updating his show for every season and returning guests always looked forward to find out what new tricks Jim had up his sleeve.”

    The farm described his performances as “enchanting” and filled with “witty antics” that impacted all visitors, young and old.

    “It was Jim’s passion for making everyone smile though, that was, in fact, his greatest trick of all,” the post continued.

    “His memory will continue to inspire laughter and joy to everyone who crossed his path.

    “He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the magic he brought into the world. We extend our deepest condolences to his family.”

    According to his website , McClenahan performed for children across Long Island and Westchester County in New York.

    Typically, his 45-minute acts were aimed at children between three and 10 years old.

    McClenahan had a career that spanned over 25 years.

    In addition to performing at White Post Farms, McClenahan worked at children’s theaters, parks, corporate events, elementary schools, day camps, libraries, museums, and more.

    Dozens of fans of the beloved magician shared their memories of his show on social media, saying he will be missed.

    “Very heartbroken with this post and news,” one fan wrote on Facebook .

    It was Jim’s passion for making everyone smile though, that was, in fact, his greatest trick of all. His memory will continue to inspire laughter and joy to everyone who crossed his path.

    “He will was a sweet human being and cared and treated everyone as family.”

    “Oh no, this is so sad. We just watched his show at the end of July; he was fabulous! RIP,” another said.

    “So sad to hear of his passing,” a third chimed in.

    “He was a wonderful entertainer and so great with the kids. He was always a highlight of our visit to WP. He will be missed.”

    Another fan wrote, “He was always so kind to my child. He will be missed.”

    A representative for McClenahan did not immediately respond to The U.S. Sun’s request for comment.
