A MOTHER posted online to get Ford’s attention after a recall impacted her personal life – several posts showed they haven’t responded.

Ford responded to her initial post, but they allegedly haven’t responded since.

Julie Taner, a mom in Tusla, Oklahoma, recently posted on her X profile (@ Larapinlady ) about a Ford recall posing financial problems for her family .

Adding insult to injury, she claimed that the lack of transportation is affecting her child’s ability to enroll in college.

“Dear Ford,” she wrote , tagging the official X page.

“Your recall is now impacting my child’s ability to matriculate. He’s a dual high school student at The University of Tusla.”

She wrote that the recall was putting her family in a financially tight situation.

“We sank our entire savings into your recall. I can’t secure the technology he needs to succeed.”

Judging by the nature of the post, it reads as though Taner paid for repairs to be reimbursed by Ford.

If so, she wrote she couldn’t wait that long.

“Reimbursement when the ticket is closed in 2025 is going to kill me,” she wrote.

Shortly after her post, Ford’s official account (@ Ford ) responded asking for additional information.

“Hello, Julie. If you can send us a DM regarding your recall, we can provide you with more information that might assist your situation,” the company’s social media account manager wrote.

A few hours later, additional posts from Taner claim the company hasn’t responded.

“Literally nothing has changed since the last interaction in DM. All the information is still there,” she alleged.

“I sent you the only updates to this insane Fiasco I’ve been provided. This has cost me food and medication. Now it’s impacting my child. I need solution-based problem-solving.”

If I was a giant account, folks would be turned up. I’m cooked and no one cares.

A few more hours go by before Taner writes another post.

“Are you guys sitting around and braiding each other’s hair, Ford? I gave you the information hours ago,” she wrote .

Two more hours roll by before she makes another post to her 1,720 followers.

“I’m being financially held hostage by Ford with their recall. They sold me a defective product and I’m quite literally suffering and paying the price,” she wrote .

“If I was a giant account, folks would be turned up. I’m cooked and no one cares.”

Ford has issued two large recalls recently, with hundreds of thousands being recalled for Takata airbags that weren’t removed and replaced for initial recall over 10 years ago.

Ford's recall webpage indicates that some 2014 trucks can downshift into first gear, regardless of traveling speed.

“An intermittent failure of the output shaft speed (OSS) sensor in the transmission may result in an unintended downshift to first gear. This can cause the rear tires to slide until the vehicle speed slows down and could result in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash,” the page reads .

“To have the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software updated in your vehicle, you can book your appointment in the FordPass ® App, online , or by calling an authorized Ford Dealership . Dealers will also perform a diagnostic test to determine if an additional repair to the transmission is necessary.”

In extreme instances, Ford trucks can be towed or delivered at some Ford or Lincoln dealerships.

The main page allows owners to input their VIN to check for any associated recalls and read more about other recent recalls.

In June, over 550,000 F-150 trucks were recalled due to faulty transmissions, reported CBS News .

The recall noted that trucks would shift into first gear without driver input, regardless of how fast the truck is traveling.

“Depending on the vehicle speed at the time of an intermittent OSS failure, an abrupt transmission downshift to first gear could occur,” the complaint reads

“A downshift to first gear without warning could result in a loss of vehicle control.”

The U.S. Sun has contacted Taner via X DMs and Ford for more information and an update.
