A FUN day at the beach can earn you six figures annually just by passing out chairs.

A TikToker explained how to make $1,200 a day by renting out beach chairs.

Mark (@financeunfolded) shares easy side hustles that mostly anyone can do, but this one is for people in coastal towns only.

At one spot in Miami, he showed a rental for a beach chair and umbrella listed at $25 per day.

Most places have hundreds of chairs, but as a side hustle you may want to start with 50.

If you rent out every chair each day, you would make $1,250 daily.

Doing this for about half the year could earn someone $225,000.

Mark didn't share any startup costs, like buying chairs or umbrellas.

In the comments, viewers said this would only be lucrative during warmer months and when the weather is nice.

    BACKYARD BONANZA

Another side hustle that lets you play all day can earn you $8,400 a month.

Elizabeth Morosani is just one of many Sniffspot users—an Airbnb-style platform where people rent out their backyards to pet owners.

Most users make money turning their backyards into private dogparks, but the North Carolina resident has a 108-acre farm she rents out to horse-owners.

Morosani started renting out the land in 2020 when most dog parks shut down during the pandemic.

Today, she makes an average of $7,100 monthly. Her highest monthly payout was $8,400 in May.

"It’s allowed me to bank some money, [and to] be more aggressive with helping my local humane societies," she said told CNBC.

"If you have space and the ability to give a private experience to individual dog owners, there’s definitely room for everyone to do this.”

    Side hustles and tax implications

The extra income made from side hustles may need to be reported to the IRS.

If you receive more than $600 in gross payouts from a selling platform like eBay, the site will issue you a Form 1099-K to use in your tax return.

Individuals should calculate their adjusted gross income, taxable earnings, and deductions for the year.

Once they have that, they can use the 1040-ES form to calculate estimated taxes.

Sniffspot takes a quarter of the profits, but she is still left with enough to buy supplies for upkeep and hire assistants.

Morosani first found out about the company from a Good Morning America segment and decided to give it a try.

“I didn’t think it’d be this popular, this successful,” she told the outlet.

But the money isn't the most important part for her.

"When I read [positive] reviews, I almost cry,” Morosani gushed.

“Not long ago, someone told me that [their visit would be on] their dog’s last day on Earth. [Owners] have held birthday parties and invited all their friends. Things like that just make you go, ‘Oh my god, I’m helping. I’m doing it.’”

One of the most popular side hustle for teens can help them make $3,000 a year.
