Among Kelce’s breaks into Hollywood is going to be the sequel to legendary Adam Sandler movie Happy Gilmore.

It was recently announced that Kelce will have a role in Happy Gilmore 2, something the Chiefs tight end is extremely excited about.

“They have been talking for some time now, and they met in person a couple of weeks ago for dinner to talk about the movie,” a source close to Kelce’s entourage told The U.S. Sun.

“Travis couldn’t believe it, it’s like a dream come true for him as Adam Sandler is one of his idols, a heavyweight on the movie business and he loves his movies, so it’s a perfect opportunity for him to work with one of his favorite directors.

“Travis is excited about it, he is taking the opportunity very seriously and he wants to do great.”

Kelce’s role in the movie has been in the works for months, and Kelce has developed a great relationship with Sandler.

“They have been talking with Sandler almost every week about it since the end of June approximately,” the source continued.

“They get along super well, they are both very simple guys, easy going and chill, and they like to laugh a lot, so they are a perfect match.

“Adam is one of Travis’ idols, and he feels that the experience of working with Sandler will make him learn so much about the movie industry and acting, but also the business part of it as Sandler is a fantastic businessman too.

“Working with one of the best in the business is the best way to learn, and he sees that opportunity as a way to open more doors in the movie industry, for other acting roles and to show what he is capable of in this industry.”

Kelce is looking to take full advantage of the big-time role with Sandler to vault him into the spotlight in Hollywood.

“Working on Sandler’s movies isn’t a small thing, it’s a massive opportunity,” the source said.

“He wants to make the best out of it, and enjoy the experience at the maximum.

“He also wants to have a great time working on the movie, and be a sponge to learn everything he can during that experience.”

NFL fans will get their first look at Kelce in a major production before the release of Happy Gilmore 2 though, as his first TV role releases in October.

Kelce is starring in the FX TV show Grotesquerie, and he is also hosting new game show Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity .

NFL star Travis Kelce recently landed his first major acting role and has a new cameo

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end plans to become a “heavyweight” figure in music and entertainment.

Kelce has seen his star power rise after going public with his girlfriend Taylor Swift last summer.

The 34-year-old has now been cast in the new horror series Grotesquerie.

Directed by American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy, the drama is set to land on FX this fall.

Kelce will appear in the show alongside Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance, and Lesley Manville.

In August, Adam Sandler confirmed Travis will make a cameo in his upcoming Happy Gilmore sequel.

The news comes after Travis previously showed interest in appearing in a possible reboot.

The tight end made a brief appearance in the trailer for Grotesquerie, and it is unknown what his role will be.

He did give some insight into his journey as an actor while filming for the show earlier this year in an interview with Good Morning America.

“It’s a challenge,” Kelce said to GMA..

“I feel like an amateur right now, but I’m coachable. That’s one thing I know from being in sports, I’m a coachable guy.

“I’ve been on a few shows before, I’ve only played myself in those shows though.

“It’s definitely different portraying a character and trying to find the emotions and the understanding of the script.”

Not one word about Taylor in his future. It’s all about him . So it sounds like there is no future for the two at least in Travis’s mind. She needs to look into this a lot harder and make smart decisions. A lot of what we read is all about him and his family. A wife should be part of family. I feel he has no intention of getting married and settling down. If so she would have had a ring by now. He’s doing the same thing as before.
