US Open star Iga Swiatek extends invitation to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce despite worries over ‘stressful’ encounter

TAYLOR Swift could soon be attending another big sporting event – she’s been invited to the US Open by tennis star Iga Swiatek.

Swiatek is a huge fan of Swift , and sent the singing icon a handwritten letter after her French Open triumph.

And now she has recorded a special video, publicly inviting Swift – along with her boyfriend, NFL superstar Travis Kelce – to watch her play at Flushing Meadows.

“Taylor Swift and Travis (Kelce). I want to invite Taylor Swift to come to the US Open and enjoy tennis and the show,” Swiatek said.

She then added: “For sure I will be stressed when she comes to my match.”

The final tennis major of the year, the US Open, began in New York on Monday.

Swiatek opens her campaign with a first-round match against unseeded Kamilla Rakhimova on Tuesday on Arthur Ashe.

Swiatek has established herself as one of the finest players of her generation.

She has now won four French Open titles, clinching a third successive victory at Roland Garros in June.

Poland’s Swiatek also claimed the US Open title two years ago and will hope to double up this year.

She is a fully devoted “Swiftie” and saw the singer in concert in Liverpool earlier this summer.

She also shared a picture of a letter she received from Swift, which reduced her to tears.

“I’m dead,” Swiatek wrote on X.

“Yes, I cried many times during the show. Yes, it was incredible. You are amazing Taylor Swift.”

It’s possible there could now be a meeting on the cards if Swift takes Swiatek up on her offer.

Swift is currently in Rhode Island, where she has been reunited with Kelce.

The couple have spent many weeks apart in recent months due to her Eras Tour.

Kelce and Co. will be aiming for NFL history this season when they go for a third Super Bowl triumph in a row.

Swift was a regular attendee of Chiefs games last season.

That included February’s Super Bowl in Las Vegas when the Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers .
