Who is Jonnie Peacock’s girlfriend Sally Brown? Meet the Paralympic sprint runner’s partner

TEAM GB’s golden boy is chasing his third 100m gold at the Paris 2024 Paralympics, with his track star girlfriend cheering him on.

Meet Sally Brown who sprinted her way from a small-town girl to one of Britain’s top track sensations — and captured the heart of Jonnie Peacock along the way.

Who is Sally Brown?

Sally Brown was born on June 26, 1995, in Derry, Northern Ireland, and grew up in the village of Ballykelly.

She was born with dysmelia in her lower arms which resulted in her left arm not developing below the elbow.

The Paralympian first took up athletics as a pastime at nine-years-old but her talent soon made her one of Britain’s brightest stars.

In 2010, she was fast-tracked into a GB training camp and at just 15, she had competed in the 2011 IPC World Championships in New Zealand.

In Christchurch she qualified through the heats of both the 100m and 200m T46 sprints.

In 2012 Brown was again selected for the Great Britain team.

During which she collected two more international medals, winning bronze in the 100m and 200m events.

Just three months later Brown was part of Team GB, competing in the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London.

By the time she was 18, Sally was ranked number one in the UK over both 100m and 200m distances while simultaneously completing her AS Levels in photography and art.

When did Jonnie Peacock and Sally Brown meet?

Sally first met Paralympic gold medallist Jonnie Peacock at the World Junior Championships back in 2010.

In 2016, Jonnie gushed about his Northern Irish love, describing how she is the one for him as the two lived together with their French bulldog Luna.

The 31-year-old told the Radio Times : “I’m quite picky, there’s always one thing, isn’t there – Things just don’t click. But they do with her.”

“She’s nice and fiery for me, which is fun and makes life interesting. No day is a bore.”

The couple live together in Loughborough .

Sally is not set to compete however her boyfriend Jonnie Peacock will participate in the Men’s T44 100m at the Paris Paralympics.

When is Jonnie Peacock competing in the 2024 Paralympics?

The Paralympic Games began in Paris on Wednesday, Aug 28, and will continue through until Sunday, September 8.

The four-time Paralympic medallist is targeting his third gold in the 100m T44.

He won his first gold at London 2012 at just 19-year-old and set the Paralympic record in the process with a time of 10.90.

The 31-year-old also looks in top shape with a ripped physique and claims he is at the peak of his powers.

Peacock is geared up , with his sights set on Olympic gold.

Asked what his goal in Paris is, Peacock said: “It’s a very shiny medal. When you’ve won a gold medal, silver medals aren’t that fun. They are always a disappointment.

“I feel like I can fight again. That’s something that’s really important for me.

“The last few years I’ve been off balance, right on the ragged edge of my technique where that if I have to push a little bit more, I lose it. Not any more.”

He believes he is “running better than I have run for the last four years” ahead of the 100m T64, having won bronze in the event in Tokyo last time out.

The Men’s T44 100m Final is set to take place on Sunday September 1 at 19:30 (CEST).
