GEORGE Clooney has opened up about what he and Brad Pitt really earned for their new movie.

However, George shut those rumors down alongside Brad.

“[It was] an interesting article and whatever her source was for our salary, it is millions and millions and millions of dollars less than what was reported,” he said while at the festival.

“And I am only saying that because I think it’s bad for our industry if that’s what people think is the standard bearer for salaries.”

“I think that’s terrible, it’ll make it impossible to make films,” he went on.

    ‘SOME BUMPS ALONG THE WAY’

George opened up about his salary when he was asked about his opinion on Wolfs not being released in theaters.

“Yes, we wanted it to be released [in theaters],” he said.

“We’ve had some bumps along the way, that happens. When I did The Boys in the Boat, we did it for MGM, and then it ended up being for Amazon and we didn’t get a foreign release at all, which was a surprise.”

“There are elements of this that we are figuring out. You guys are all in this too. We’re all in this industry and we’re trying to find our way post-Covid and everything else, and so there’s some bumps along the way,” the Oscar winner noted.

“It is a bummer of course, but on the other hand, a lot of people are going to see the film and we are getting a release in a few hundred theaters, so we’re getting a release. But yeah, it would’ve been nice if we had a wide release.”

Wolfs is an upcoming action comedy film directed by John Watts and produced by both George and Brad.

George stars as Jack and Brad stars as Nick, who are professional fixers who prefer to work alone, but find themselves forced to work together after getting hired for the same job.

Amy Ryan, Austin Abrams, Poorna Jagannathan, Zlatko Buric, and Richard Kind also star.

Wolfs is scheduled to be released in limited theaters in America starting on September 20.

It will then debut on September 27 on Apple TV+.

In August, a sequel was already confirmed by Deadline .

John, George, and Brad are all set to return.

    TRUE BROMANCE

George and Brad have been friends for decades .

They have starred in multiple films together including the Ocean’s 11 franchise, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Burns After Reading, and If.

The friends recently spoke with GQ about their friendship and how they are competitive with each other.

“I’m just saying we have a competitive nature. Like the competitiveness that an athlete would have. And I see that in most of the guys that are around,” Brad told the outlet.

“You take pride in what you do, but at the same time, if I didn’t have George Clooney in my life, I don’t know that I would’ve reached certain levels.”

George said that he wants to beat Brad at any job, but if he doesn’t get it, he wants his friend to.
