SAM’S Club shoppers have raged at the store for making a change to one of it key membership benefits.

The warehouse retailer recently removed a perk its Plus members had benefited from.

These Sam’s Club members have no longer been able to enjoy free shipping on all orders.

The chain changed its free shipping perk to only apply to orders over $50 as of August 19.

This change prompted a strong response from some furious Plus shoppers.

Some customers, who pay $110-a-year for their membership, threatened to stop shopping at the warehouse chain over this decision.

One person (@ blitzburgh058 ) blasted the move as “unethical” and asked the chain why they should stick with Sam’s Club.

“@SamsClub what genius there decided to take away the one factor that made your plus membership worth keeping with the free delivery?” they wrote in a X post.

“Please explain why going to Costco shouldn’t be the next move?”

This person also worried that a certain group of shoppers could be hit particularly hard, after the company responded to their post to say most people would be “unaffected” by the change.

“That’s not going to help the seniors on fixed incomes who depend on this service and cannot afford to reach $50 minimums just to get the products that they physically cannot get themselves,” this shopper raged.

“You charge $100 for a plus membership. This was included. Removing it is unethical.”

Another customer (@ gocrumom ) explained why this change made her think twice about her membership.

“I will not be renewing my plus membership unless you reverse course,” the customer said.

“I’m up for renewal yesterday and I don’t autopay.”

Sam’s Club responded to her complaint and reiterated that free shipping would still be available on orders over $50.

Which benefits do Plus members at Sam's Club recieve?

Sam's Club shoppers can choose between a $50-a-year Club membership or a $110-a-year Plus membership.

The Plus subscription has offered people more retail perks:

    • Free shipping on orders over $50.
    • Early shopping at select locations.
    • 2% in Sam’s Cash on qualifying in-club purchases, up to $500 a year.
    • Free Curbside Pickup.
    • Free home delivery on in-store orders over $50.
    • Free tire repairs, regardless of where it was purchased.
    • Annual $60 Sam’s Club eGift Card with T-Mobile.

However, the shopper did not seem convinced.

“Plus is not so plus anymore,” she said in response.

More people in the comments shared their similar takes and complaints on this change.

“Why is it considered Plus then,” one person wrote.

“This is the only reason I bought the Plus membership.”

    RAGE CLUB

The most recent change has not been the only adjustment to annoy certain members, The U.S. Sun has previously reported.

One person shared their anger with the store over its food court offerings.

“What happened to you?!?” this person wrote.

“You used to be a good place to shop and have lunch. Now, your cafe is crap with sub-standard products and your frozen yogurt machine is broken more than it works. I can’t order a 1/2 and 1/2 pizza because now they’re premade?”
