Hunt on for Florida State fan who claimed he’d ‘eat dog poo’ if team lost to Boston College before ‘going missing’

THE hunt is on for a Florida State Seminoles fan who many feel has a revolting promise to fulfill.

Hopes were high for the 10th-ranked Seminoles coming into the 2024 season, but those hopes have all but vanished in the space of two weeks.

College football fans are searching for one Seminoles fan who made a bold promise ahead of the loss

Their season got off to a disappointing start in Ireland where they lost 24-21 to Georgia Tech in the college football season opener.

Back on US soil, the Seminoles were looking to bounce back on Monday when they hosted Boston College at Doak Campbell Stadium.

The two teams had met 21 times previously, with the Seminoles leading the matchup 16-5 since 1957.

In fact, the last time Boston College beat Florida State was back in October 2017.

One fan, known only by their X handle as @321nole, was so confident ahead of Monday’s game that on August 27 they made a bold and regrettable promise.

“If Florida State loses to BC this weekend, I will eat dog s**t out of a red solo cup with a spoon and post a video of me doing it. Book it!” they wrote .

Florida State wound up falling at the hands of the Eagles, 28-13 .

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the X user in question has since deleted all of their social profiles.

But college football fans don’t easily forget; the search is on for the missing fan.

“He said ‘Book It!’ He needs to do it,” one fan said.

“I hope this dude knows the Noles will forever be cursed if he doesn’t eat the s**t. The entire program is in the balance here,” a second claimed.

“I wouldn’t make him follow through. He should have to watch every FSU game this year instead. That would be much worse,” suggested a third.

“Hello FBI? I’d like to report a missing FSU fan,” a fourth jokingly tweeted.

While another predicted, “ Guessing he’ll never be heard from again.”

But not just X users want the FSU fan to be held accountable.

Discussing Seminoles coach Mike Norvell’s downbeat post-game comments, SportsCenter host Scott Van Pelt said that while it’s “understandable” that the team is down, “They’re not down as bad as that dude on the internet who said he’d eat dog poop out of a solo cup.

“You think you just get to delete your account? The internet ain’t gonna forget that, buddy.

“You don’t get to just keep it moving and get a new name or something. People are going to find you.”

Whatever becomes of the elusive X user, the Seminoles’ season now moves on to the Memphis Tigers.

The Seminoles are scheduled to host the Tigers on September 14, before the California Golden Bears come to town a week later.
