TYREEK Hill has thanked his teammates after he was detained by police before the Miami Dolphins NFL opener over the weekend.

The Dolphins wideout was handcuffed after an alleged traffic offense just a block away from Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday morning.

Hill was seen in viral images lying prone on the ground after being pulled over for allegedly speeding, per ESPN.

The 30-year-old was detained following a “verbal altercation,” according to the outlet’s Jeff Darlington.

After the incident, Hill was released by cops and went on to play in Sunday’s curtain-raiser against the Jacksonville Jaguars .

“Right now, I’m still trying to put it all together,” Hill told the assembled media following the game.

“I still don’t know what happened. But I do want to use this platform to say, ‘What if I wasn’t Tyreek Hill?’

“Worst-case scenario, you know? Everybody has bad apples in every situation, but I want to be able to use this platform to figure out a way to flip this and make it a positive on my end and Miami-Dade and do something positive for the community.”

Miami-Dade PD released a statement Sunday afternoon and indicated they will begin an “immediate review of all details surrounding the incident.”

One of the officers involved in the stop was “placed on administrative duties while the investigation is conducted,” per Miami-Dade PD Director Stephanie V. Daniels.

“I’m committed to transparency and accountability to the community with any situation involving my officers,” Daniels added.

Hill was informed of the Miami PD’s decision during his post-game press conference.

“That should tell you everything you need to know, then,” Hill said.

“I’m just glad that my teammates were there to support me in my situation because I felt alone.

“When they showed up, it made me realize that we have a f***ing good team this year, for them to put their life on the line. It was amazing to see.”

Hill’s teammates Calais Campbell and Jonnu Smith attempted to de-escalate the situation after stopping to offer the wideout their support.

With this season’s schedule now revealed, eager NFL fans are looking to secure tickets to their favorite games.

You can start buying tickets for some games on several sites now:

Before purchasing tickets on resale websites check pricing as they are third-party sellers and, importantly, the cost can vary depending on demand. You may pay more than an official ticket, though you can also get good last-minute deals too.

But if you can’t be there in person, don’t worry, there’s still time to set up your stream before the season starts.

Campbell’s intervention also saw him detained, and the defensive tackle told reporters the officers had accused him of “disobeying a direct order.”

“He said I was too close to the scene and then I think he said something about me not moving my car in time, I don’t know,” Campbell explained.

“He told me I wasn’t being arrested but he cited me for being detained and then released.”

Hill, 30, is one of the NFL ‘s most electric wide receivers.

He was a Super Bowl champion with the Kansas City Chiefs and joined the Dolphins in 2022.

Last season, he put up career numbers, taking 119 receptions for 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns in the regular campaign.

Despite his dramatic trip to the stadium, Hill looked terrific on Sunday as he torched the Jaguars for 130 yards and a touchdown.

Following the 80-yard score in the 20-17 win, Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle pretended to handcuff Hill during the team’s celebration.
