DANIEL Jones was heckled by fans after the New York Giants’ disastrous 2024 NFL season opener.
Jones , 27, put in a miserable performance as his team were beaten 28-6 by the Minnesota Vikings on home turf.

The struggling quarterback went just 21 of 40 for 181 yards and no touchdowns.
As Jones left MetLife Stadium after the game, angry fans let him hear it.
Several whistled and jeered their starting QB.
While others referred to his hefty contract.
In March 2023, the Giants secured Jones to a four-year, $ 160 million deal.
Referencing how much he is paid, one fan in particular repeatedly yelled, “I need a million” at Jones.
Many fans were left appalled by the heckling, with several taking to X to express their opinions.
“Can’t stand him as our QB, but I’m totally against this,” one wrote. “No class. He’s a human being, he doesn’t want to suck.”
“The heckling should stop once the jersey comes off and the player leaves the field imo,” a second commented.
“I mean I’m all for accountability but maybe this area shouldn’t be accessible to fans lmao. Bro just trying to go home,” a third reasoned.
“It’s not going to help him. That’ll just make it worse,” a fourth pointed out.
“Amazing people have this much time on their hands to do this,” another added.
After the game, Jones was under no illusions about his performance level.
“Obviously not good enough,” he admitted.
‘I NEED TO PLAY BETTER’ Explicitly quizzed about what he didn’t like about the performance, Jones pointed to the offense.
“The fact that we scored six points, didn’t execute in the red zone, didn’t consistently execute and move the ball,” he said.
“All those things. I need to play better.’’
Jones was also asked about the treatment he received from the crowd.
“It’s our job to give them something to cheer about and to play well, to execute,” he said.
The Giants will return to action this Sunday when they face the Washington Commanders at FedExField.
