A FURIOUS Walmart shopper has slammed one of the retailer’s payment policies after they were left unable to pay for their $200 grocery cart.

The retailer ‘s refusal to accept tap-to-pay options in-store has angered many in recent months.

And shoppers have taken to social media to voice their concerns over this controversial policy.

“Spent a whole hour grocery shopping, scanned all my items through self checkout, realized I left my wallet at home… no biggie, I’ll use Apple Pay!” the customer wrote in a post on X.

“WRONG, Wally World doesn’t have Apply Pay!

“$200 in groceries and an hour of my time wasted.

“@Walmart, yall need Apple Pay!” they declared.

Although many other retailers across the US accept Apple Pay in their stories, Walmart has refrained from joining the trend.

The chain wants customers to download its app and use Walmart Pay instead.

However, customers have quickly criticized the Walmart pay system, arguing that it is less convenient than Apple Pay and Google Pay and often unreliable.

“What’s the point of @Walmart pay if it never works?” one user wrote .

“Wish yall would just get with the times and accept Apple Pay like everyone else if you aren’t going to have a pay system that actually works.”

Social media has been filled with stories of shoppers having to abandon their full carts after realizing they could not use Apple Pay.

“I left my full cart of groceries at the checkout because of this,” one shopper explained .

“I never really go there anymore.”

“I can’t believe people still shop there cause Target would never,” another frustrated shopper said.

The U.S. Sun contacted Walmart for comment.

    SELF-CHECKOUT WOES

Meanwhile, other Walmart shoppers have complained about issues with self-checkout kiosks.

As the retailer has tried to crack down on shoplifting, some staff have been employed to watch over customers using self-checkouts.

Why doesn't Walmart offer Apple Pay?

CEO of Walmart Doug McMillon has revealed why stores don't offer Apple Pay on Stratechery with Ben Thompson.

Though using Apple Pay at the retailer has been an ongoing conversation, McMillon emphasized that “We would like to have the customers open our app in the store all the time.”

The app can be used to help find items in the store, but it can also be used to pay for your purchases.

“That’s one of the things that we would like people to use our app for,” he said.

This is to ensure that they are correctly scanning all of their products.

But in some stores, this has resulted in a shortage of employees at manned cashiers and some shoppers are unhappy about this.

“I was at Walmart today with a cart full of toiletries and house items. About 25 or so items,” a shopper explained on X.

“They ONLY had self check out. I asked an employee if regular lanes were open, she said no.

“I left that cart right where tf it was at and walked out.”

Also people are starting to steal other's card information and add it to Apple Pay, so please check who has your information or lock your cards, because it's just going to get worse if no one changes their actions. I bet this person has done that. Also who goes to a gas station to get something for a dollar? I get to see an email each time someone tried to use my card with Apple Pay then they removed it because I locked my card. Stop stealing card information, maybe that person doesn't have a job!!!
