Deion Sanders ‘bans’ Colorado Buffaloes touchdown tradition in ‘insane’ decision to help superstar QB son Shedeur

VIBES are low in Colorado after the Buffaloes suffered a rough defeat to Nebraska.

As Colorado struggles to establish themselves as a top program, head coach Deion Sanders is taking drastic measures to support his son.

After a Week 1 win, the Buffaloes lost all momentum as they got crushed by Nebraska.

While they only lost 28-10, Nebraska didn’t need to put much effort in to the second half of the game as they pulled out a 28-0 lead at half time.

Shedeur Sanders struggled to get anything going during the game, completing 23 passes for 244 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.

The one interception he threw was intercepted for a Nebraska defensive touchdown.

Sanders had a terrible day under center, but a telling statistic was the play of his offensive line.

The superstar quarterback was sacked six times compared to just once in Colorado’s opening game.

Sanders’ leadership was put to the test during the loss as well, and he came under heavy criticism following the game.

He left the game with two minutes left to play and went to the locker room while his teammates were still on the field.

Sanders also appeared to place the blame for his play on the offensive line in his postgame conference.

“How many times did [Nebraska quarterback Dylan] Raiola get touched?” Sanders said.

“Of course when you’re able to run the ball consistently, that opens up the pass, you know? But it’s just like, you’ve got to understand what your team’s good at.

“Why would we keep running the ball when we get out there and there’s a must-get situation and we don’t get it?”

Colorado’s poor play and Sanders’ questionable leadership have raised eyebrows across college football, and many are wondering if head coach Deion Sanders’ system is working.

He has mostly abandoned high school recruiting in favor of the transfer portal, and reports are coming out about his preferential treatment towards his son Shedeur.

Denversports.com’s Jake Shapiro reported that Sanders told the Colorado band that they couldn’t play the team’s fight song after Shedeur throws a touchdown, instead having the stadium play his son’s song.

“A year later and the fight song doesn’t even play in the stadium after the quarterback throws a touchdown,” Shapiro wrote .

While Colorado was the subject of endless hype when the Sanders family rolled into town, fans are starting to turn on the program, questioning if success is possible or sustainable under Deion.

“Whenever this ends it’s going to be so ugly,” one fan said.

“Smh, they are going to leave this school a cultureless disaster,” another fan said.

“What a joke. Completely disrespectful. I can’t believe people fell for this charade,” a third fan said.

“Deion secretly leaving this program in shambles. Once his kids and Travis Hunter leaves, he’s gone,” a fourth fan said.
